비디오가게에서 영화를 빌려보던 시절이 생각납니다.

가게 주인아저씨께서 추천해주신 영화는 1997년작 <뽀네뜨>였어요.

The movie recommended by the owner of the store was 1997's "Ponnet."

엄마와 내가 영화인으로 거듭난 그 때 그 시절

아이의 눈으로 본 상실의 쓰라림을 조용하고도 사랑스럽게, 그리고 정말 가슴아프게 그린 영화입니다.

It is a movie that depicts the bitterness of loss through the eyes of a child quietly, lovingly, and really heartbreakingly.

아직 죽음을 이해하지 못한 뽀네뜨는 엄마의 무덤에서 '탈리타쿰! 탈리타쿰!'을 외치며 부르짖는 장면은 지금 생각해도 눈물이 나네요.

The scene where Ponette, who has not yet understood death, shouts 'Talitakum! Talitakum! Talitakum!' at her mother's grave makes me cry even now.

지금은 OTT가 익숙하지만, 그 당시에는 비디오가게에서 테이프를 대여하고 서로 추천해주는 따뜻한 문화가 있었습니다.

훨씬 옛날 영화 'Forbidden Games 금지된 장난' 에도 뽈레뜨가 나와요~ (뽀네트와 같은 이름인지는 모르겠어요 미쉘'이라는 이름만 정확히 남아있어요) 엔딩 여운으로 뽈레뜨가 가여워 눈물이펑펑 다음날 눈이 퉁퉁부어 학교갔던 기억이나요~ 부럽습니다 어머니와의 교감!!
