A Lesson for Fool

Praise makes even a whale dance.

But, we should be careful of people who say nice things to us for no clear reason.

칭찬은 고래도 춤추게 한다지만

뚜렷한 이유없이 칭찬의 말, 듣기 좋은 말만 늘어놓는 사람은 조심하고 멀리해야겠지요. 

어리석은 사람은 칭찬에 우쭐해지고 눈 멀어서 정작 자신의 중요한 일을 놓치고 망치는 과오를 범하게 됩니다.

fell to the ground 땅으로 떨어졌다

pick it up  그것을 집어들다  

ran off  도망갔다
