Application Development in B2C Commerce Cloud: What Actually Gets Confusing in Comm-Dev-101?
I started preparing for the Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Cloud Developer (Comm-Dev-101), thinking Application Development would be one of the easier sections.
Going through the topics initially felt manageable. The SFRA structure, controllers, and routing seemed logical on the surface.
But once I began practising questions and thinking in real scenarios, things started to feel different. It’s not that the concepts are hard; it’s more about deciding when and where to use them.
I understand how controllers work, but I sometimes get confused about the correct flow or approach. Same with the cartridge structure, it makes sense until you have to apply it properly.
I’ve been using ITExamsTopics for practice, and it helped me realise that the exam is less about definitions and more about decision-making.
Still trying to get comfortable with how everything ties together in real use cases.
Has anyone else faced this kind of confusion during prep? How did you get more confident with these concepts?
